Occorre farlo ritornando a osservare, ascoltare, a guardare l’invisibile.
Buon viaggio.

Two words. Two worlds that belong to each other.
What we propose in this “journey” is the statement of the necessity of doubt, of the will to dwell on the gaze, on the meaning of the word, on the traces and whispers the territories tell us.
A pause, a slow rhythm allows the invisible to become visible, even in an ephemeral way. This is the idea of the “Invisible Mediterranean(s)”, of our Mediterranean, and maybe also, at least a little, of those who will want to stop and turn their gaze.
We will not speak of the Mediterranean, we will dream of it.
We will not describe the Mediterranean, we will cross some of its worlds, its horizons, its moments.
The project is journey, times between time, horizons within the horizon, multiple gazes. We would like to share this “pause” with those who try to look at the world from within. Invisible.
What we decide not to look at becomes invisible, even if it is close to us, around us.
The visible, in the last years, has become the same for everyone, with no great distinctions. The visible will not take us anywhere else from where we are. The invisible will give us a hope of still being connected to the world, its history, its differences, its depths.
Every day we are reducing the condition of freedom that our gaze should have. Every day we are reducing the dimension of the “journey” as a meeting to the level of a simple geographical and/or virtual transfer.
A slow time should be introduced beside the fast time imposed on us by our everyday life.
This must be done by returning to the observation of the invisibile: listening and looking at it.
It is reality. It is magic.
We stop in front of the invisible and start feeling the gravity force of time, all its depth and stratification, its being time between times.
In the words and in these gazes we seek a moment “zero” in order to stop time for a few seconds.
They will be enough.
We do not want to “speak” of the Mediterranean.
We would not like to do it so briefly.
First of all, the Mediterranean is an imaginary reality, a sentimental and passionate sequence, an infinite and stratified factory of cultures, religions, knowledge and skills, an idea.
The Mediterranean is everything.
In its being a land between two seas, it is often also a sea between two lands.
It is sea! It is not an ocean. There is an idea of finite in the infinity of the sea.
And the finite is the land, the people who live it.
I wish you a nice journey.
